President, Holy Cross Family Ministries
Dear Friends in Christ,
Amidst the conflicts of every age, Mother Church has asked the faithful to pray for peace. She has held forth the Rosary as a particularly powerful means of storming heaven with prayer, and to this end, she has consistently asked the people of God to turn to our Blessed Mother in the Rosary in times of global conflict.
Our times are no different. As the world once again faces the scourge of war between nations and peoples, our Holy Father Pope Leo has asked the faithful around the world to join together in unity to pray the Rosary for peace. Holy Cross Family Ministries has answered this call and is calling for 250,000 people to join us for the Global Rosary for Peace, which we will offer for the Holy Father’s intention on October 22, the Feast of St. Pope John Paul II.
My brothers and sisters, I urge you to join this global movement and to pray the Rosary for peace alongside us and hundreds of thousands of your fellow Catholics on October 22. You can register to participate at https://PrayForPeace.org. Register yourself, register your family, and reach out to ten people who you think would like to join us in praying the Rosary for world peace on this day. We offer this global prayer knowing that the words of Venerable Patrick Peyton are true: “A world at prayer is a world at peace.” God bless you!
In Christ,
Rev. Fred Jenga, C.S.C., Ph.D.

International Director, Holy Cross Family Ministries
Dear Friends,
As we reflect in this newsletter on the powerful grace-filled ministry of our ministry centers on six continents, I am struck once again by the power of the family Rosary — how it continues to draw hearts together, from the smallest home to the widest reach of our global mission. In every Ministry Center, in every language, the same prayer rises: for peace, for healing, for families to stay close to God and to one another.
The stories here — captured in the photos our Ministry Centers share from around the world — are a testimony that our mission is vibrant and growing. Each image is a window into a family, a community, a moment of encounter with Christ. I am deeply grateful to every Ministry Center Director, every team member, and every collaborator who make these moments possible.
Looking ahead, I invite you all to join us in our most ambitious undertaking yet: the Global Rosary for Peace, on October 22, 2026. Our goal is to unite 250,000 people worldwide in a single prayer for peace, echoing the conviction that has carried this ministry since Father Peyton first spoke it: “The family that prays together stays together.” Today, we dare to believe that the world that prays together, stays at peace. Register. Share. Invite. Multiply. Pray for Peace — HCFM.
Thank you, as always, for your prayers, your partnership, and your witness to the power of family prayer.
In kind love,
Rev. Pinto Paul, C.S.C., Ph.D.

OUR STORY OF ENCOUNTERING JESUS, TRUE HOPE
Our story begins in 2022 when my grandfather began to feel ill, vomited blood, and fainted. We had to take him to the hospital. He was admitted because they gave us very little hope for his life.
After a while, my grandfather looked a little better, but we were told that his kidneys were functioning at only 18% capacity. From the very beginning, our family prayed with true hope, asking God, our mother Mary, and our Lord Jesus Christ for help. Since then, my family has always prayed, and we are aware that God is almighty.
In the silence of dawn, before light appears
We bow down in prayer, releasing our fear.
With hearts open wide and voices slow,
We call upon Jesus, our true hope to know.
Once our home echoed, with worry and pain,
Love felt distant, and peace was unknown,
Though we lived together, each felt alone.
But prayer became more than words we would say,
It guided our hearts and showed us the way.
In seeking his presence, we started to see
A love full of grace, that could let us free.
POWER OF PRAYERS!
When You Feel Down And Surrounded In Fear.
Come Before The Altar And Surrender Yourself In Prayer.
If You Are Distant From The Lord He Will Hold You Near,
And You Will See Light As The Darkness Clear.
He Is Like A Shepherd And We Are His Sheep So Dear,
He Will Always Protect Us With His Shield And Spear.
Even If We Wander Alone And With Us There Is No Peer,
He Will Come To Our Rescue And Safely He Will Steer.
There Are Times When Things Are Bad And Severe,
And The Only Answer For Us, Is For God To Appear.
But He Has Not Just Given A Day, A Week Or Just A Year.
The Lord Has Given Us Every Moment To Be With Him In Prayer.
When shadows fall and dreams feel far,
And wounds remain from who we are,
When every door seems closed and tight,
And days grow darker than the night.
I kneel with tears I cannot hide,
With broken hope and wounded pride,
No perfect words, no strength to show,
Just whispered prayers soft and low.
The world feels heavy on my chest,
My tired heart just longs for rest,
I fear that I may lose my way,
And never see a brighter day.
But in the silence, calm and deep,
A gentle peace begins to seep,
No thunder loud, no shining flame,
Just Jesus softly calls my name.
He does not leave when others part,
He holds together my fragile heart,
In prayer I find what will not end,
My truest hope, my closest friend..
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Sofia who lived in Guadalupe, New Mexico. Sofia was a very curious girl, but lately she had been feeling a little sad because she didn’t really understand how to talk to Jesus. Her grandmother, who always had a smile and a kind word for her, said, “Sofia, prayer is like finding a secret garden where you can talk to Jesus and find hope.”
One day, Sofia decided to follow her grandmother’s advice. She closed her eyes, put her hands together, and imagined in her heart that she was in a garden full of beautiful flowers and colorful butterflies. In that garden she felt a great peace and began to talk to Jesus as if He were her best friend. She told Him her worries and her joys and asked Him to help her be a good girl and to better understand His love.
From that day on, Sofia visited her secret garden whenever she needed comfort or wanted to share something. Little by little, her sadness disappeared and her faith grew. She learned that Jesus always listened to her and that with hope she would never be alone in her heart.

By Deepa, Jison, and Daniel
The Rosary has been at the center of our family life for many years. During my pregnancy with our son Daniel, complications and fears weighed heavily on us. In response, my husband Jison committed to praying one thousand Rosaries for a safe pregnancy and delivery. As we entrusted our journey to Jesus and Our Blessed Mother, we experienced peace, hope, and the support of family members who prayed alongside us from India. The Rosary became the bond that united us across continents and reminded us of Father Peyton’s words: “The family that prays together stays together.”
This year, Holy Cross Family Ministries invited me to compose a song honoring Father Patrick Peyton. Although I initially felt unqualified and overwhelmed, prayer gave me the courage to say yes. As I entrusted the project to God, the lyrics and melody came together unexpectedly. Our son Daniel joined me in shaping the music, and what began as a personal challenge became a family mission.
During a visit to India, we were blessed with the opportunity to record the song. Daniel experienced his first studio recording, and together we offered the project to the Lord. Around the same time, Daniel celebrated his tenth birthday. Looking back, we were struck by the beautiful connection between the thousand Rosaries prayed before his birth and the song we completed just before he turned ten. It felt like God had brought the story full circle.
This journey deepened our trust in the power of the Rosary and reminded us that when we say yes to God, He works far beyond our abilities. We give Him all the glory and pray that this song inspires others to place their trust in Jesus and Mary.
We invite you to listen to the song in the YouTube video below and join us in celebrating this beautiful testimony of faith, family, and the power of the Rosary.
Ave Maria.

Venerable Patrick Peyton
Founder, Holy Cross Family Ministries.
Dear Jesus,
Father Peyton devoted his priestly life to strengthening the families of the world by calling them to pray together every day, especially the Rosary. His message is as important for us now as it was during his life on earth.
We beg You, therefore, to hasten the day of his Beatification, so that Your faithful people everywhere will remember his message that “The Family That Prays Together Stays Together,” will imitate him in his devotion to Your Mother and ours, and will be inspired by his holy life to draw ever closer to You with childlike confidence and love. Amen.

Message from the International DirectorDear Friends,
As we reflect in this newsletter on the powerful grace-filled ministry of our ministry centers on six continents, I am struck once again by the power of the family Rosary — how it continues to draw hearts together, from the smallest home to the widest reach of our global mission.

Together in Prayer! The Global Rosary for Peace is almost here! On October 22, 2026, the Feast of Saint John Paul II, families around the world will unite in praying the Rosary for peace. This year, our goal is to bring together 250,000 people worldwide in prayer.
Across our Ministry Centers, families, parishes, schools, and communities are already preparing to take part. With only one week to go, we invite everyone in the Congregation of Holy Cross and our HCFM family to help us make this final week count: register, share, invite, and multiply.
Join us on October 22 and invite your family, friends, parish, school, and community to pray with us as we come together for peace.

This image reminds us of Venerable Patrick Peyton’s well-known phrase, “A World at Prayer is a World at Peace.” This statement reflects Father Peyton’s deep belief that praying together unites people in a unique way, bringing us all closer to our Creator and to the peace and harmony that flow from prayer.

As of October 9, 2026, more than 252,000 people have already committed to praying with us! We are grateful to have surpassed our goal of bringing together 250,000 people worldwide!
We are also delighted to share the wonderful news that Pope Leo XIV has granted his Apostolic Blessing to the upcoming Global Rosary for Peace! This special blessing carries deep spiritual significance, and we are truly grateful and humbled by the Holy Father’s prayers for our event and all who will participate.
Let’s keep the momentum going and invite even more people to join us! —Register. Share. Invite. Multiply and join us in prayer for peace on October 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM EDT!

Bangalore, South India
Ave Maria.

Dear Jesus,
Father Peyton devoted his priestly life to strengthening the families of the world by calling them to pray together every day, especially the Rosary.
Amen.
Wisdom“The family is God’s masterpiece.”
Venerable Patrick Peyton
